of stamps Issued to present some historical vestiges of Viet-Nam.
THE 25 DONG STAMP SCOTT # 501 :
The Hien-Lam Pavilion which Is situated In front of the The Mieu, Temple In Hue, and was
built In 1833 under the reign of Emperor Minh-Mang. The Pavilion composes of three main
chambers and two side rooms.

THE 30 DONG STAMP SCOTT # 502 :
The Throne (in Thai-Hoa Imperial Palace, Hue) which was sit on by many Emperors of the
Nguyen Dinasty.
The Throne is placed on a three step base. Above it, high up to the celling there
are precious parasols. All of these are coated with gold. Behind the throne is hung a
large yellow curtain on which designs of dragons are embroidered.
The Thai-Hoa Palace was the place for Imperial Court. During the ceremony, all the
mandarins queued up in lines, the civilians were in the left and the militaries in the
right.

THE 60 PIASTER STAMP SCOTT # 503 :
The Pavilion on the water (near the Tomb of King Tu-Duc, in Hue) which is a beautiful
scenery. The construction of the Tomb of King Tu-Duc was started on 1864 and completed on
1867-ie within the reigning period of the King which was from 1847 to 1883.
While King Tu-Duc was still living, the Pavilion was used as a rest place for fresh air
and recreation after working time.
